Classical Ballet - Pointe
Mrs. Ellie Hanagarne began dancing at a ballet studio in Lewisville, Texas where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. At age 14 she was accepted to attend Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual arts in Dallas, Texas. She received her BFA in ballet and modern dance from The Boston Conservatory where she was awarded a dance scholarship. Her performance in Anna Sokolow's "Magritte Magritte" was lauded in the Boston Herald as a solo that provided "a deep command of Sokolow's highly expressive, lyrical style." She is currently completing her MFA in teaching and choreography for Ballet at the University of Utah, and is passionate about passing on her love for dance to her students.
