Hayley Wetterhus has been dancing since the age of two at various studios including Just For Kicks School of Dance in Port Orchard, Washington; Isabelle's Dance Time in Spokane, Washington; and Utah Dance Artists. In high school, she also studied at the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts, focusing on skills to choreograph as well as dance technique and musicality. Hayley has studied fervently in almost every style of dance over the 18 years of training provided to her. Her movement and teaching techniques are all acquired from her years of Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Hip Hop, Breakin', Musical Theatre, partnering, gymnastics, Pointe, and differing ballroom styles. After spending a year at Utah Valley University, assisting Celebrity Dance Competitions, and teaching at Utah Dance Artists, Hayley ventured to Los Angeles to be a part of the EDGE Performing Arts Center's 2010-2011 scholarship program - chosen out of hundreds to participate for a year with only 19 other students. This program allowed her to train in class every day under the direction of some very well-known and inspiring teachers/choreographers including: Mandy Moore, Justin Giles, Sonya Tayeh, Adam Parson, Brooke Lipton, Robert Shultz, Miguel Zarate, Gina Starbuck, Marvin Millora, Erica Sobol, Eddie Garcia, and many, many others. Hayley is excited to be back at UDA and share with her students everything she has learned from the Hollywood dance scene!
