Classical Ballet - Pointe
Lori Mead-Metcalf has been teaching dance in the Salt Lake area for over 30 years. She has a degree in Theatre from Northwestern University, focusing on movement for theatre with a minor in dance education. She has performed with the Chicago Ballet, the Chicago Lyric Opera Ballet, and the Giordano Jazz Company. She has received many choreography awards including recognition for her work on national commercials. Several of her past students can be seen in the movie “Footloose” and continue to perform on cruise lines, in Vegas, and with regional dance companies. Lori enjoys spending her free time with her two dancing daughters when they’re in town, Jessica and Hallie; her cameraman/musician husband, Marty; and her two miniature schnauzers, and Jete and Tendu.
