How many year have you been dancing at UDA? This is my third year.

What made you want to start dancing? I don't remember a time when I did not want to dance!  A few years ago, I had to quit dancing because of my knees.  During that time, I realized just how much I love it.  That made me want to  get going with dance and work hard more than anything.

What is your favorite type of dancing? Definitely ballet – it is so fun to feel elegant and pretty, and I love the feeling of figuring how to manipulate my body to do something beautiful.

What is your favorite dance memory? I will always remember my first few classes at UDA; I was so impressed with how hard I had to work, and especially how friendly every girl was!

What is your favorite past dance recital theme and/or recital dance that you learned? My first recital was “Lights, Camera, Action.”  I loved this one because it was my first time performing at Kingsbury Hall and it was just magical!

Who are some of your special UDA friends? There is no way I could name everyone!  I love everyone at UDA so much!  It has also been awesome to have some classes with my sister.  I am so grateful to everyone who was so friendly and inclusive!

Who is one teacher that truly inspires you or who you look up to? Brooke and Lori are not only great dance teachers, but great people.  I have learned so much about character, goals, and hard work from them.  I have learned many things through their example that I can apply to more than dance.

What are some of your future goals and ambitions? I am going to the University of Utah this fall, majoring in Pre-Nursing.  I am definitely planning on taking ballet classes.  I really want to teach ballet if I can!
