Maddie Butler

Jazz

Maddie has trained in contemporary, modern, lyrical, jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, and musical theater for 16 years. She grew up dancing competitively and was a member of a pre-professional contemporary dance company for two years from ages 15-17. Maddie was a finalist for a national title at the Dance Awards and also chosen as an Orange County Register Dancer of the Year nominee two years in a row. She is the recipient of multiple choreography awards and has had the opportunity to perform in the HALO: Dance for Autism showcase as well as Amanda Cathey’s “Snap for Change” anti-bullying initiative. She participated in a three-week Martha Graham Intensive and was cast in Dark Meadow Suite. Maddie is now a third-year student and dance major at BYU and a member of the touring company, Contemporary Dance Theater.
