Conservatory Program - Mini Info

For Dancers in the 2nd - 5th Grade

Pre-professional program for dancers in the 2nd-5th grade. *Dancers who are currently in the 1st-4th grades should attend the Conservatory Mini audition.

Please consider the level of commitment and financial responsibility that comes with being part of a competitive program. Not all dancers who audition will make a team. Admittance is based on technical ability, performance, artistry, and overall cohesiveness with dancers of a similar age and ability. The following information provides detailed information about the UDA Conservatory program for the 2019-2020 season. Dancers who have never been on a UDA competitive team should audition for Varsity.

YEARLY PROGRAM FEE: $2150 - $2250

Amortized over 10 months: $215 - $225 monthly *paid on the 1st of the month from July - April
Program fee covers three weekend conventions, two costumes, competition fees for 4 competitions, director and manager fees.
Choreography fees are no longer included in your program fees. These charges will be billed separately and will range from $110-$150 total for the 2 routines. The fee will be split between 4 charges in August, September, October, and November.

  • Required Classes: 3 ballet and 2 jazz technique each week (5 hours per week)

*Summer class schedule will be available at the Parent Information Meeting on Monday, May 20, 2019

  • Cost: $21.50 for group photo - Due by check before May 30th
  • Dates: June 13 - 15
  • Time: TBA
  • All team members are required to attend group photos and purchase a group photo
  • Optional individual dance photography session
    • Cost: $128 - Due by check before May 30th
    • Price includes group photo
  • Priority registration for fall is available for Conservatory Team dancers. *Pre-registration is Monday, June 10, 2019 to Wednesday, June 12, 2019.
  • Days and times of these classes will be distributed during the Parent Information Meeting on Monday, May 20th
  • A $30 non-refundable registration fee is applied to all students who enroll in technical classes
  • The cost of the monthly tuition is figured by using the UDA Tuition Scale
  • Weekly Conservatory Mini class requirements:
    • Three – 1 hour ballet technique classes
    • One – 1.5 hour jazz technique class
    • One - 1.5 hour turns and leaps class
    • One – 1 hour acro/tumbling class
    • One - 1 hour hip hop class
    • Two – 1 hour Conservatory Mini team rehearsals
  • This equates to 10 minimum hours per week for Conservatory Minis, which is $280.00 in monthly tuition from September – December.
  • Due to competition season, the 1.5 hour jazz technique class will only take place 16 Saturdays from SeptemberMay. Because of this, tuition will be decreased from January-May reflecting 8.5 hours per week at a rate of $238 per month.

  • Billed separately from program fees.
    • Cost: $110-$150 total for 2 routines
    • Split in 4 charges between August, September, October, and November
  • Competition choreography will be taught at this time.
  • UDA Conservatory dancers are required to attend master classes throughout the year
  • Cost determined by the master class teacher - typically $35-$45 per dancer.
  • Billed separately from program fees.
  • Master class fees charged month following the master class, along with monthly tuition and fees.
  • Scheduled between months of August 2019 and May 2020
  • Master classes are mandatory and all accounts will be charged.
  • "Starry Night" Performance Fee: $100 - charged with October tuition. *this fee provides four tickets to the Conservatory Concert in May and HD files of all UDA end-of-year performances
  • Contingency Fund: $150 - separated into two payments: $75 due July 1st and $75 due August 1st. *the contingency fund covers any unexpected costs related to your dancer’s program. Money not used during the year will be credited back to your UDA account on May 1st
  • UDA Company Jacket and Pants: $165 - Due July 1st *every three years a new team jacket & leggings will be purchased - this will be year #1
  • UDA Rolling Bag: $85 - Due July 1st *if new to program
  • UDA Competition Makeup and Earrings: $75-85 - Due November 1st *if new to program
  • Shoes and Tights: Purchased on your own
  • Epic Conventions: (Required fall convention not included with program fees) October 4-5, 2019: $230 if paid by check; $244 if paid by credit card *due with September tuition
