Dancers must add the required, additional classes to their weekly schedule:

• STARS Competition Team Rehearsal 1 hour
• STARS Performance Rehearsal - Ballet, Jazz or Both *one genre of STARS Performance is required to participate on the competition team
• Required UDA classes for STARS Performance team
  • STARS BALLET
    • STARS Ballet must take two ballet classes - Choose from the option to either take 2 ballet technique classes OR take 1 ballet technique (the designated Tuesday class) and a ballet recital class (performs in the UDA recital). (Two - 1 hour weekly classes, Juniors- Two 1.5 hour weekly classes).
    • The ballet technique class will be on Tuesdays coinciding with their STARS rehearsals.
  • STARS JAZZ
    • STARS Jazz must take one ballet class and one jazz recital or turns & leaps class (Two 1 hour weekly classes – Juniors- Two 1.5 hour weekly classes)
    • Jazz Technique and some ballet classes are recital classes that require additional costumes for the UDA recital.
  • STARS BALLET & JAZZ
    • Dancers who participate in BOTH ballet and jazz performance genres must take one ballet class and one jazz recital or turns & leaps class (Two 1 hour weekly classes – Juniors- Two 1.5 hour weekly classes)
    • Jazz Technique and some ballet classes are recital classes that require additional costumes for the UDA recital,
• This equates to 4 minimum required hours per week for Kindergarten, Petite & Mini STARS, and 5 minimum required hours per week for Junior STARS. Dancers that participate in two performance team genres add 1 more required hour. Dancers must be accepted to the STARS performance team by Friday, May 17, 2024 in order to audition and add the STARS competition team.
• Additional Saturday rehearsals may be added to the schedule during competition season

• The cost of the monthly tuition is figured by using the UDA Tuition Scale
• UDA Competition Makeup and Earrings: $70-$80 - Due November 1st

• Charged at the time choreography is learned
• Fee split between all dancers who participate
• If the choreographer adds a prop to the routine, this cost will also be divided among all participating dancers

• Mandatory STARS Photo Shoot: date TBA.
• All team members are required to attend group photos and purchase the group and individual photo package from Don Polo Photography for $115. This includes a team 8x10 print and all individual digital images.
• The cost of the photo shoot will be applied to UDA accounts on September 1, 2024.

SEPTEMBER

• $120 cancellation fee

OCTOBER

• $150 cancellation fee
• Pay all choreography and costume fees
• No refund on any past paid fees

NOVEMBER

• $180 cancellation fee
• Pay all choreography fees, costume fees, and any paid competition and convention fees
• No refund on any past paid fees

DECEMBER

• $210 cancellation fee
• Pay all choreography fees, costume fees, and any paid competition and convention fees
• No refund on any past paid fees

JANUARY - MAY

• $250 cancellation fee
• Pay all choreography fees, costume fees, and any paid competition and convention fees
• No refund on any past paid fees
