Tammisty Katz grew up studying dance in Utah & New Mexico. She continued her studies at the University of Utah where she graduated with a Bachelors's in Biology. Tammisty is passionate about sharing her love for dance & has enjoyed teaching for over 15 years. Her students have been recognized nationally many times, including New York City Dance Alliance’s prestigious “National Critics Choice Award” and NYCDA “National Outstanding Dancer” titles. Her students have had many successes and have performed with the Rockettes in Radio City Christmas Spectacular, the Broadway tour of “Wicked”, the Donny and Marie show Las Vegas, Chicago, New York, and London, Oprah, Today Show, and The Emmys. Tammisty’s students have been featured in many movies including all three High School Musicals, American Mall, Dear Dumb Diary, multiple Ashlund Jade music videos and more... Many of her students have danced as members of Odyssey Dance Theatre, Utah Jazz Dancers, BYU Cougarettes, U of U Dance Team, USU Aggiettes, and NFL Cheerleaders.

Tammisty loves teaching dancers of all ages and skill levels. Her primary objective as a teacher is to strengthen self-esteem while developing talent in dancers. She believes that, as dancers work hard, meet goals, and overcome challenges, they believe more and more in their ability to do hard things and, therefore, are set up for success in whatever they pursue.
