Caroline
Ballroom - Preschool Classes (Hip Hop)
Caroline is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer who began her dance training at a young age at Idaho Ballroom Academy. She graduated from Brigham Young University–Idaho with her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Pedagogy in 2022. While a student at BYU–Idaho, Caroline was very active in the dance department, dancing and choreographing for Collegiate Dancers and dancing for three years with Dance Alliance, the University’s premier touring company, which allowed her to travel and perform across the continental United States. Along with her performance and choreography work, Caroline took on leadership roles such as Director of Collegiate Dancers, Vice President of the Dance Society, student teacher for multiple sections of Social Dance, and Director of the Ballroom Formation Team.
In 2021, Caroline received her Dance Vision International Dancers Association (DVIDA®) certification in Bronze Smooth. Alongside her passion for dance, she developed a love for yoga and is a registered yoga teacher, having completed her 200-hour certification through Yoga Alliance.
Caroline taught for Idaho Ballroom Academy for five years, where she taught Bronze, Silver, and Gold syllabus steps and routines and choreographed and directed routines for performances and competitions. She also had the opportunity to teach for the Special Needs Ballroom Team and the Pee-Wee Ballroom Program within IBA, gaining unique and rewarding experience teaching these special populations.
Recently making Utah her home, Caroline started teaching at Utah Dance Artists in 2023. She currently teaches preschool dance, introducing young dancers to tap, ballet, hip hop and jazz. She also teaches ballroom, including solo girls ballroom, and social dance for all ages.
In addition to her work in the classroom, she loves contributing behind the scenes through customer service and administrative work. Caroline has found great fulfillment in helping the studio run and supporting students, parents, and staff in all areas at UDA!
