Hip Hop

My name is Shelbi, and I am so excited for the opportunity to teach your kiddos this year. I have been teaching hip hop for the last 5 years to kids from the age of 3 to the age of 18. I first discovered my love for hip hop in high school. My opportunities as a dancer allowed me to become a captain over a hip hop team. I graduated from high school with a four year letter in dance.

As an instructor I have auditioned and performed with my dance students in Disneyland. I brought two teams to perform in Pearl Harbor. We showcased our dancers in the opening ceremonies, Pearl Harbor Parade and on the U.S.S Missouri. In addition, I have put together entire dance concerts in the spring and fall semesters for dance students in grades 6-12th as well as running mini hip hop clinics for preschool/pre-k students as fundraisers for dance programs.

In June of 2022, I married my high school sweetheart/dance partner Zak. We love spending time dancing together, going on adventures and watching movies.

I love being around kids. Their energy brings me joy and I love being a part of their development in dance and in life! I am so excited for the memories that we will make together this year at UDA!
