Elite Introductory Competitive Program Info
Open to Elite Program Dancers 7th - 12th Grade
The ELITES Competitive Program is an optional, add-on program for dancers in 7th – 12th grades who wish to compete in genres such as jazz, musical theater, lyrical jazz or contemporary and intensify their performance study with additional experience on stage through a competition environment.
Participating dancers are grouped according to ability level with age consideration, as opposed to being grouped by team participation. Not all dancers who audition will make a team. Admittance is based on technical ability, performance, artistry and overall cohesiveness with dancers of a similar age and ability.
2025-2026 YEARLY PROGRAM FEE: $459
Amortized over 9 months: $51 monthly (*paid on the 1st of the month from September -May)
The Monthly Program Fee covers two local competition entry fees, competition costume, critique, manager and director fees. Rehearsals required from September 2025 -June 2026.
The Monthly Program Fee does not cover technical program tuition and fees, team jacket, group photo shoot, contingency fee, nude leotard, earrings, makeup, dance shoes and tights needed for competition.
Audition Information
Open to Dancers 6TH - 12TH GRADES
AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD AT TUESDAY, MAY 27, 2025 AT THE UDA SOUTH JORDAN STUDIO LOCATION
*A minimum of 8 dancers are required to create an ELITES competition team. We reserve the right to move dancers to a group outside their age/grade level, depending on audition numbers.
Auditions – Mandatory Four Step Process
- 1. Fill out and submit the online audition form
- 2. Submit a $30 audition fee
- 3. Attend the mandatory ELITES Parent Information Meeting at the UDA South Jordan studio on Thurday, May 8, 2025 at 7:30pm.
- 4. Attend ELITES Competitive Auditions @ South Jordan Studio (11020 S Redwood Rd.)

Classes - Choreography - Fees - Etc
WELCOME MEETING for the 2025-26 TEAMS and PARENTS
Date: August 12, 2025 at the South Jordan studio

Summer classes are mandatory for the ELITES competitive team dancers. Summer classes help dancers maintain flexibility, strength, and technique over the two-month summer break.
- Minimum class requirements: One class twice per week for a total of 8 classes in July. Make-up class options are available to work around summer travel/event schedules.
- Classes to choose from: ballet technique, jazz technique, turns & leaps, or strength & conditioning
- Minimum class tuition: $112 (8 hours of class, twice per week)

Dancers must add the required, additional classes to their weekly schedule:
- ELITES Competition Team Rehearsal 1 hours
- ELITES Performance Rehearsal 1.5 hours
- Required UDA classes for ELITES Performance team
- Ballet - must take the paired ballet recital and technique classes (Two – 1.5 hour weekly classes – One performs in UDA recital)
- Jazz - Either a jazz technique or turns and leaps class for their approved technical level (One 1.5 hour weekly class – Jazz technique performs in UDA recital, turns and leaps does not).
- Additional Saturday rehearsals may be added to the schedule during competition season
- This equates to 7 minimum required hours per week. Dancers must be accepted to the ELITES performance team prior to May 27, 2025 in order to audition and add the ELITES competition team.
- The cost of the monthly tuition is figured by using the UDA Tuition Scale
- Charged at the time choreography is learned
- Fee split between all dancers who participate
- If the choreographer adds a prop to the routine, this cost will also be divided among all participating dancers
- Competition Makeup & Earrings: $70-$80 - Due November 1st
- Mandatory ELITES Photo Shoot: September 2025 - tba
- All dancers are required to purchase and be in their team photos.
- The cost of the photo shoot will be applied to UDA accounts on September 1, 2025.

- Pay all choreography fees, costume fees, and any paid competition and convention fees
- No refund on any past paid fees
DECEMBER
- $210 cancellation fee
- Pay all choreography fees, costume fees, and any paid competition and convention fees
- No refund on any past paid fees
JANUARY - MAY
- $250 cancellation fee
- Pay all choreography fees, costume fees, and any paid competition and convention fees
- No refund on any past paid fees
The withdrawal fees for ELITES Competitive are separate from the ELITES Performance program.
