For Dancers in the 7th - 12th Grade

YEARLY PROGRAM FEE: $675

Prorated to 9 monthly payments of $75 from September – May
*This fee must be paid in addition to UDA Tuition.

The ELITES Program Fee includes holiday and spring performance participation, holiday costume and spring performance costume, choreography fees for 4 routines (2 holiday, 2 spring), manager and director fees, workshops and master classes.

The ELITES Program Fee does not include technical program tuition and fees, team jacket, group photo shoot, contingency fee, nude leotard, earrings, makeup, dance shoes and tights needed for all performances.

How To Enroll

Follow these three steps to commit to ELITES for the 2024-2025 season:

  1. Fill out the Elites Agreement and Commitment Form
  2. Submit the $30 Non-refundable Commitment Fee and $50 Contingency Fee Online *a description of the contingency fee is listed under the section, “Additional Requirements and Fees”
  3. Once you have completed steps 1 & 2, you are eligible for Fall Registration starting Friday, May 24, 2024.
*ELITES Agreements and Commitment Forms for the 2024-2025 dance year will be available May 1, 2024. If ELITES registration is completed between May 1-13, 2024, you will be allowed to register for fall classes during Program Registration May 24-29, 2024.
  • UDA Program Registration will take place from May 24-29, 2024
  • UDA Member Registration begins May 30, 2024
  • The deadline to Register for ELITES is Friday, August 2, 2024
  • *Registration will close if a team reaches maximum capacity prior to this date.
  • Dancers must withdraw from ELITES by Friday, August 16, 2024 to avoid being charged the yearly ELITES Program Fee.
  • ELITES Team invitations will be emailed to UDA technical program dancers beginning in April 2024.

Mandatory Meetings
Held at the South Jordan Studio Location

PARENT INFORMATION MEETING: Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 8:00 pm

  • This meeting will provide information about the ELITES team and parents will have the opportunity to meet the program director and have their questions answered.


PARENT AND DANCER WELCOME MEETING: Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at TBA

  • This meeting will jump start the year by providing important yearly information and dates that must be added to the calendar. ELITES dancers will also be measured for their team jackets and costumes.

Classes - Choreography - Fees - Etc

Community performance dates will be provided as they are available. ELITES dancers are required to participate in ALL performances and will have the following opportunities:

  • Perform at 3-4 community events and venues during both the Winter and Spring
  • Participate in Workshops and Master Classes
  • Participate in an optional travel opportunity (based upon interest - more information available in the fall)

Summer classes are not mandatory for ELITES dancers, but strongly encouraged.

  • UDA’s four-week summer session provides classes in ballet, jazz, contemporary and hip-hop.
  • Summer classes help dancers maintain flexibility, strength and technique over the two-month summer break.
  • Please refer to the 2024 Summer Dance information to see the summer classes that are available for your dancer.

  • The fall schedule for the classes below will be available online May 1, 2024.
  • ELITES dancers are required to enroll in:
    • ELITES choreography/rehearsal class (One 1.5 hour class).
    • Two ballet classes - Choose from the option to either take 2 ballet technique classes OR take 1 ballet technique (the designated Tuesday ELITES class) and a ballet recital class (performs in the UDA recital). Two 1.5 hour weekly classes.
    • Either a jazz technique or turn and leaps class for their approved technical level (One 1.5 hour weekly class – Jazz technique performs in UDA recital, turns and leaps does not).

Mandatory Christmas Choreography - 1st Routine

  • Date: Saturday, August 24, 2024
  • Time: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

2nd Routine Choreography

  • Date: Saturday, September 21, 2024
  • UDA monthly tuition and ELITES program fees are both due on the first business day of each month from September-May.
  • The cost of monthly tuition is figured by using the UDA tuition scale.
  • August and June are half months and paid together as a full-month tuition when registering for fall classes
  • A $35 non-refundable membership fee is applied on May 24, 2024 to all returning UDA students.
  • Recital Fee: $120 - charged on October 1st with October tuition. This fee covers recital participation, four complimentary tickets and professional HD files of all UDA end - year performances.
  • Recital Costume Deposit: $40 – charged on December 1, 2024 with December tuition. A $40 costume deposit will be charged per class participating in recital *Two technique classes are required for ELITES participation – Ballet recital and Jazz (Turns and Leaps is not a recital class and can fulfill the jazz class requirement)
  • Remaining Recital Costume Balance: charged on February 1, 2024 with February tuition. All remaining costume balances will be charged at this time.
  • Contingency Fund: $50 – charged upon ELITES Commitment. The contingency fee covers any unexpected costs related to your dancer’s program. Money not used during the year will be credited back to your UDA account on May 1, 2025.
  • Team Jacket: $75-$85 – charged on September 1, 2024 with September tuition. *New team jackets will be purchased every 2-3 years and this will be year #2.
  • Withdrawal Fee: $30 - withdrawing from the ELITES program any time after Friday, August 16, 2024 will result in a withdrawal fee and a mandatory payment of any costume expenses and all remaining program fees. No refund will be given for any past paid fees and tuition.
  • Mandatory ELITES Photo Shoot: scheduled for Tuesday, September 17, 2024. All dancers are required to purchase and be in their team photos. The cost of the photo shoot will be applied to UDA accounts on September 1, 2024. *specific photo times and packages TBA
  • Mandatory Dance Attire:
    • Charged on September 1, 2024:
      • Shoes and tights for Christmas performance
    • Charged on November 1, 2024:
      • Shoes and tights for Spring performances

In addition to the required technical classes for ELITES dancers, dancers may also consider adding the following classes for optimal technical training:

*When selecting additional fall session classes, ELITES dancers may NOT add additional classes on Tuesdays due to possible extended rehearsals taking place on this day. The ballet technique class will be on Tuesdays coinciding with their ELITES rehearsals.
