Amortized over 10 months: $168 monthly from July – April
*due on the 1st business day of the month, along with UDA tuition

The Monthly Varsity Program Fee covers competition fees for 4 competitions, choreography of three routines*, three costumes, critique, end of year concert, director, and manager fees.

The Monthly Varsity Program Fee does not cover tuition, summer intensive, team photos, team warmups, travel bag and makeup, earrings, shoes and tights needed for competition.

*Additional choreography fees may be required for premium choreography.

  • Cost: $370 - paid by check at auditions
  • Date: Thursday, August 11 - Saturday, August 13, 2022
  • Schedule: TBA
  • Cost: $168.75 - charged August 1, 2022
  • Dates: Four weeks: weeks of June 13, August 1, August 15 and August 22
  • Required Classes: 2 ballet and 1 jazz technique each week (4.5 hours per week June), 2 ballet, 1 jazz and 1 choreography review each week (6 hours per week August)

*The summer technique class schedule will be available at the Parent Information Meeting on Monday, May 9, 2022

  • Varsity dancers may register for fall classes during Program Registration between Wednesday, June 8, 2022 and Saturday, June 11, 2022
  • The fall schedule, including the days/times of required technical classes, will be distributed at the Mandatory Parent Information Meeting on Monday, May 9, 2022.
  • A $35 non-refundable basic membership fee is applied on June 1, 2022 to all returning UDA students. A $59 non-refundable premium membership fee is offered with additional benefits.
  • The cost of the monthly tuition is figured by using the UDA Competitive Tuition Scale
  • Weekly Varsity Senior class requirements:
    • Two – 1.5 hour ballet technique classes
    • Two – jazz classes (1.5 hours technique and 1 hour turns and leaps)
    • One – 1 hour hip hop class
    • Two - Varsity Senior choreography rehearsals (one 1.5 hours and one 1 hour)
    • Additional Saturday rehearsals may be added to the schedule during competition season
  • This equates to 9 minimum hours per week for Varsity Seniors, which is $270 in monthly tuition from September – May.
  • June is a 1/2 month and paid as a non-refundable deposit when you register for Fall 2022 – Spring 2023 classes
  • Monthly tuition is due on the first business day of each month, along with the Varsity Monthly Program Fee
  1. Add-on ballet classes are for dancers in the 6th – 12th who wish to intensify their ballet training.
  2. Placement in these additional classes is done by a dancer’s individual dance level – not according to the team they are on. Placements held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Draper studio.
  3. Dancers may choose to add one or all available classes. Each class added is billed as additional hours on the UDA Tuition Scale.
  4. Add on Ballet Options:
    • Ballet Intensive *adds a 3rd ballet technique class each week (placement required)
    • Pre Pointe or Pointe Technique *non-performance class (placement required for pointe)
    • Varsity Ballet Competitive Program *additional program fee – Auditions held on May 21, 2022. Please refer to the program information for Varsity Ballet.
  • Collegiate Turns & Tricks Intensive (3rd jazz technique class)
  • Acro/Tumbling/Tricks mat class
  • Stretch class
  • Improv class

  • Billed separately from program fees, if necessary, for premium choreography
    • Cost: $100-$200 total for 1-2 routines
    • Split in 4 charges between August, September, October, and November
  • Mandatory team photos with Samantha Little Photography
  • September 16 - 17, 2022
  • All team members are required to attend group photos and purchase a group photo
  • Optional individual dance photography sessions will be offered
  • "Starry Night" Performance Fee: $120 - charged with October tuition. *this fee provides four tickets to the Varsity year-end concert and HD files of all UDA end-of-year performances
  • Contingency Fund: $100 - the contingency fee is collected in two payments: $50 due July 1st and $50 due August 1st. *the contingency fund covers any unexpected costs related to your dancer’s program. Money not used during the year will be credited back to your UDA account on May 1st
  • UDA Company Jacket and Pants: $165 - Due July 1st *if new to program **every three years a new style of travel wear is purchased - this is year #1
  • UDA Travel Bags: 3 options - Due July 1st *if new to UDA Competitive program
  • UDA Competition Makeup and Earrings: $70-80 - Due November 1st *if new to program
  • Shoes and Tights: not included in program fees – Due either November 1st or December 1st
  • Optional Conventions: UDA Varsity dancers will have the opportunity to attend two-three dance conventions during the year – Cost is typically $200-$300 per dancer. These conventions are optional and are not included in your overall monthly fees.
